Philippine Football Federation is Now 101 Years Old
For the information of my fellow football players, football enthusiasts, and supporters of football in the country, the existence of the sport of football in our country is now 101 years old. The Philippine Football Federation had its Centennial Celebration last year signifying its 100 years mark in history. This will tell us that football has been around in our country for quite long now.
Though we are the oldest national team in Asia which PFF was established in 1907, we are still linked as the weakest national team in the world. In Asia, smaller nations like Vietnam, SIngapore, and Thailand ranked as the top leaders in Asian football games along with Japan and Korea which they showcased great skills and games in the last 2002 World Cup.
Where is Philippine heading to after all named as the oldest national team in Asia? What is the fight plan for the Philippine national team in the future? Is there a chance that PFF will launched such competitions that regions from different parts of the Philippines will have their pride in a football leauge aside from having the Filipino Premier League which is mostly participated by private clubs? This is a strong challenge not only to PFF but also to the different clubs in the region. Let us all be optimistic and be part of the new begining.
